Every year, thousands of workers in Australia get injured because safety zones aren’t clearly marked on worksites. If a site isn’t clearly sectioned off, people walk into danger without realising. This puts workers at risk and exposes businesses to liability. According to Safe Work Australia:
Many of these injuries could have been prevented with proper barriers in place. Common accidents caused by ineffective barriers include:
- People cross into restricted zones without knowing.
- Pedestrian and vehicle collisions due to unclear separation zones.
- Unexpected hazards – spills, unstable surfaces, trips and equipment when there is no clear warning.
